Researcher - Zero carbon economy and enterprise

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious interdisciplinary researcher with excellent qualitative research skills to join the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR), one of the UK's leading academic centres for applied policy research, on a fixed term basis (20 months).

The successful candidate will contribute to a fast-growing programme of research focused on zero carbon economy and enterprise, primarily working on two UKRI funded projects:  South Yorkshire Sustainability Centre (just transitions work programme, including research on work futures in a sustainable economy; and just transitions for SMEs) and GOZERO (SME governance for net zero).

Centre for Regional, Social and Economic Research

These scholarships provide opportunity to combine PhD study with hands-on research experience as part of a large interdisciplinary research programme focused on a just transition for South Yorkshire, working with a wide range of academic, industrial, policy and civil society partners. This is an unrivalled opportunity to work directly with policy makers, businesses, and civil society to influence change through PhD study. 

The studentship is for a period of three and a half years full time, subject to satisfactory progress. Part time applications are also welcome.
